MUGLER’S NEW MUSE: GEORGIA MAY JAGGER

Georgia May Jagger is no stranger to beauty. This isn’t the English model’s first beauty campaign and it certainly won’t be her last.

But what makes her latest appointment as the face of Thierry Mugler’s new fragrance Angel MUSE especially meaningful is that her mother, model Jerry Hall (now wife of Rupert Murdoch) was also a Mugler muse back in the day.

With a surname like Jagger, there’s no shying away from who your parents are, or at least, who your father is. Jagger is obviously the daughter of legendary Rolling Stones rocker, Mick Jagger. And she’s inherited his magnetic energy – making her the very personification of Mugler’s new scent.

Mugler Angel MUSE is the French fragrance label’s first woody vetiver gourmand for women. Its award-winning predecessor, Mugler’s original ANGEL eau de parfum was more overtly feminine with spiced oriental vanilla accords and a bold-blue star-shaped flacon. In contrast, Angel MUSE evokes deeply sensual notes of hazelnut cream balanced by earthy vetiver root.

Even the packaging is more refined – though no less cosmic. Shaped like a cosmic pebble with elliptical curves and silver metallic detailing, the orange-nude tint of the bottle is a nod to the surface colour of Mars and evokes a connection between skin and fragrance. Every flacon tells a story, and Mugler’s Angel MUSE is one of the heavens.

If the original Angel EDP 1.0 is a star orbiting the planets then the new Mugler Angel MUSE commands its own gravitational orbit with its magnetically warm allure.

Tell us, when was the last time you tried a new fragrance?
