5 Things Miranda Kerr Does For Her Skin Every Day

She drinks one litre of celery juice each morning.

We all know Miranda Kerr has enviably glowy skin—it’s definitely what she’s known for, so much so that she started her own beauty brand, Kora Organics. Getting the chance to speak to the supermodel is always a chance to ask her the big beauty questions: namely, what do you really use. Speaking to Kerr for the launch of her latest Kora Organics product, the Turmeric Glow Moisturizer (which she calls “brightening and super nourishing”), we definitely wanted to quiz her on what she’s doing for her skin as she edges towards her 40s.

So, instead of the usual interview, we asked her to tell us her top five beauty tips at this stage of her life. This is what she said.

Dry Body Brushing

Miranda Kerr has been a fan of dry body brushing for some time—in fact, it’s something she often mentions in her interviews, so you know she lives by it. “I really love dry body brushing and I think it’s so underrated but it makes a big difference to me,” she says. If you’re not familiar with dry body brushing, it’s exactly what it sounds like: you take a dry body brush (Kerr’s favourite is available on her website, here) and you brush the body without any water, oils or moisturisers on the skin. (The key word here being dry!). This not only exfoliates the skin, discourages ingrown hairs and cellulite but it also promotes circulation and lymphatic drainage to help eliminate toxins. Kerr does it each morning for the best results.

Exfoliation

As for her facial complexion, Kerr credits a good exfoliation routine to her glowing skin. “I would say exfoliate at least three times a week, because when you exfoliate, then your products can be absorbed better and deeper.”

Pure Celery Juice

“Another beauty tip would be celery juice. I drink 32 ounces every morning,”—that’s about one litre a day. “I have a cold pressed juicer, and I get organic celery and I cut off the bottom and cut off the leaves, and then rinse it really well. And then you just put it through the juicer, and it’s just plain celery juice. It has been really transformational. For me, my health and wellbeing. I really love it.” Kerr says she drinks celery juice for its anti-inflammatory properties. “It also helps with electrolytes, and it’s very alkalising. You know, it reduces inflammation. It’s rich in minerals. It helps kidney function. It’s just helped me so much.” Kerr takes it first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach.

Facial Oils

Kerr insists that facial oils are one of the pivotal parts of her skincare routine and those familiar with the Kora Organics range will know it features a number of beautiful oils. “Don’t be afraid of facial oils. They are really beneficial for your skin and they can help balance your pH level. I use the Noni Glow Face Oil morning and evening.”

Crystals

Kerr’s final beauty must-have? Crystals. While she uses products that are “super active and results driven” one of her favourite beauty items is a good beauty tool, including her own Kora Rose Quartz Facial Sculptor. “The self care aspect, which is what I’m all about. And those tools have helped me so much in my life, like the crystals, and aromatherapy and the positive affirmations, those things have been instrumental in supporting me in my life.” That’s why, for example, the Tumeric Glow Moisturizer is energised with Citrine and Rose Quartz, which means these crystals are actually used in the manufacture of the moisturiser, rather than the ingredients. “I wanted to infuse that good vibration into the products so that when someone is using them, they don’t just feel like they’re cleansing their skin with healthy antioxidant-rich skincare, they’re also getting that whole experience. The mind and body.”
