As the second instalment of our newly launched podcast, Gritty Pretty Radio, our interview with Queer Eye Grooming Expert and Biossance Global Ambassador, Jonathan Van Ness was a ball of laughs. A fan favourite on the Netflix series, Queer Eye, JVN is known for his confidence and flair but reveals to Gritty Pretty that he isn’t always his most confident self – and that’s okay. “Our worth is not wrapped up in how confident we feel,” he says. “We are worthy of love and acceptance despite what our feelings about ourselves say.”

It’s this philosophy that he takes into all facets of life, whether it’s his personal relationships or his job, and what led him to become an ambassador of the now cult-favourite clean beauty brand, Biossance. Admitting he isn’t always perfect when it comes to sustainability, JVN’s action starts in his bathroom. And great skin? Just a bonus. Spending his downtime in 2020 ice-skating and having constant solo dance parties in his kitchen, JVN truly is a force to be reckoned with. And, there’s so much more to come…
