Three social media call outs, nearly 200 responses, and over an hour spent reading/replying/tallying (and re-tallying) has boiled down to this: the best Aussie beauty buys, as voted by you.
A bit over a week ago, we posted a callout on our social media asking for your favourite Aussie-made beauty products. Rather than writing another listicle on homegrown products you should buy, we wanted to do something different and find what you’re actually using – and loving. We figured if it’s worth an Instagram name drop chances are you’re high-key obsessed, and therefore it’s worth us taking note.
So, without ado here are the best Aussie beauty buys – as tested, voted, and loved by you guys.

SAYA SKINCARE
Created in Noosa, Saya skincare products are powered by organic Australian-native botanicals, and are fragranced with only the highest-grade essentials oils for a sensorial beauty experience. As the MOST mentioned brand among readers who commented, you’ll want to take note.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
@kristen_nicole “Certified organic with all Australian botanicals that actually work!! Their AHA Exfoliant is incredible plus Argan Oils & Face Serums“
@kirrabudd “My favourites are [the] AHA face exfoliant, foaming cleanser and body oil“

KORA ORGANICS
You already know all about KORA organics, the calming-blue organic skincare offering by Aussie model Miranda Kerr. Energised with a rose-quartz crystal-water infusion, Kerr tests all the products on herself and her family before sharing them with her customers, and the company is still 100% Australian owned and manufactured.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
@hayztarran81 “Clay Purifying Mask, Blemish Gel and Balancing Rose Mist.”
@makeupbyvmv “Kora Organics Rosehip Oil is a breath of fresh air and is my number 1 go-to product!”

GO-TO SKINCARE
The other brand that received an almost fanatical response was Go-To Skincare. The peachy beauty start-up by her cleverness Zoë Foster Blake, Australia’s unofficial beauty king was a shoo-in for success, but has garnered credibility on its own merits with results and return customers. With only 8 products currently in the range, keep your eyes peeled for expansion in 2017.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
@tay.lorgray “Face Hero always!”
@sss1389 “Go-To Exfoliating Swipeys is pure love.”
@charlottecaruana “Face Hero is everything.”
@ken_jon_atanis “I love the Exfoliating Swipeys and Face Hero Oil.”

FRANK BODY
Frank Body also got a lot of love during our call out. The original coffee scrub is still manufactured in Melbourne, where it was started by a group of mates on their kitchen top. The story is as serendipitous as it sounds, and the global cult-like following is still surreal for its founders. The brand has since expanded into lip scrubs and moisturisers, and is stocked nationally at MECCA.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
@c_t_style “Frank Body for the win! I love the slight orange fragrance of it so I’m all about the OG Original Coffee Body Scrub.”
@artbyellin “For my body, my favourite is Frank Body scrubs. The BEST.”
@candyniken “[My favourite Frank Body product] would be their Body Scrub – loooove the feeling of my skin after using it.”

NEEK SKIN ORGANICS
The support for NEEK Skin Organics was strong with fans of the brand quick to proclaim their love of the brand’s vegan lipsticks. The small Australian organic beauty company was started a few years ago by creator, Angelique (shortened to ‘Neek’) and is committed to beautiful and modern natural beauty – not only in skincare but also cosmetics.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
@simoneturnbridge “The most gorgeous vegan & organics & Australian made skincare and lipsticks. My fave lippy is ‘Friday On My Mind‘.”

STEVIE K COSMETICS
With lipstick shades like ‘King Kylie Lipstick‘ and ‘Saucy St Claire‘, Stevie K Cosmetics is the little Aussie beauty brand that demands attention – and deserves it too according to our readers. Each shade of lipstick is influenced by a city in Melbourne and contains nourishing oils. They also do eyeshadows!

LANOLIPS
An icon on the Australian beauty scene, Lanolips got a loud shoutout in the comments section. Renowned for its multi-purpose balms and hero ingredient of Lanolin (derived from sheep’s wool), we’re pretty proud of how much this little Aussie beauty brand from South Australia has achieved.

[responsive imageid=’21716′ size1=’0′ size2=’641′ size3=’1024′][/responsive]
JURLIQUE
Jurlique is another long-standing successful Aussie beauty brand you’ll recognise. Started in the 1980s by German husband and wife duo, Dr Jürgen Klein (a biochemist) and wife, Ulrike Klein (a botanist), the couple established a farm in the unspoiled Adelaide Hills in South Australia where the iconic natural ingredients used in Jurlique’s products are still grown.

LUNA BRONZE
Luna Bronze is an emerging Aussie self-tanning range with a great story (and loyal customers, if we do say so). After one of the co-founder’s battle with cancer gave the team are reality-check about the damage caused by sun exposure and use of synthetics, they created a trio of tanning products under expert-guidance that use 99% organic, natural or naturally-derived ingredients.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
@rhi_hall “Luna Bronze is life changing.”
