FOUND: THE PERFECT EYESHADOW PALETTE

You know what’s really annoying? When you fork out the cash to buy a shiny new eyeshadow palette – only to discover a couple of weeks down the track that you only use one, maybe two, of the three or four shades on offer while the others go to waste.

The unfavoured eyeshadow shades – who by no fault but their own – sit there idle, lonely and never being used because, well, let’s face it: they’re either too shimmery, too matte, too pink or too bright.

Fortunately, that no longer needs to happen.

Enter Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks – a collection of completely customisable eyeshadow shades.

Unlike regular palettes where you get what you are given, with these, you can pick and choose your favourite hues and click them into place to create your own personalised palette.

Available in 30 different shades from neutrals and pinks to blues, greys and blacks, follow my lead in selecting shades that are easy to wear day or night.

To start, select for a light shade (like Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Bone) to highlight or prep your lids. Next, choose a subtle shade that still offers some definition like a taupe such as Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Greige or Taupe or perhaps a soft lavender like Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Lilac, which is applied over the entire lid. Then, go in with a darker bold shadow like a charcoal or dark blue along the outer socket – I chose Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Charcoal. To finish, a black eyeshadow (try Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in Onyx) can be used to line the top and bottom lash line for a smoky smouldering effect.

What do you think of my taupey brown eye look?
