10 Beauty Products Our Editors Can’t Get Enough Of This Month: April 2022

What we’re loving, coveting and “borrowing” from the Gritty Pretty beauty cupboard this month.

Sisley’s All Day All Year is the bougie, pamper product I’ve needed over the past few weeks. I love that this product acts as a natural shield, protecting my skin from environmental stressors due to its major dose of antioxidants and anti-UVA, -UVB ingredients. The cream has helped to minimise my fine lines and seems to give my skin that extra boost of energy, leaving it feeling smooth, strong and radiant. If you’re looking to indulge, this product is worth the higher price point.”

“I don’t know what 6000 x ginseng actually means, but I do know that it does good things to my skin. And let’s be honest, so it should with its hefty price tag. Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Cream is definitely a splurge, however I prefer to look at it as a quality investment in my skin. By far the best anti-aging cream I have used in a very long time. Offering all the usual promises of reducing fine lines & wrinkles, creating firmness and elasticity, this cream actually delivered on all levels. An investment that shows great returns, love it.”

Eleanor Pendleton

Founder & Editor-in-Chief

“I love a luxurious body cream as much as the next person but Jo Malone London’s Body Creme is on another level. Pillowy-soft and deeply nourishing, this formula is the perfect way to treat your skin at the end of a long day. With conditioning jojoba, cocoa seed and sweet almond oils, my skin feels nourished and protected all day long.”

Beauty Editor

“I don’t know if it’s the post-pandemic runway trends or the cooler weather that’s making me more creative on the makeup front but I have been loving a sleek cat eye look recently. Typically a mascara-only girl, my new love has meant I was on the hunt for a liquid eyeliner that was pigmented, easy to use and lasted all night long. Cue: Byredo’s Eyeliner. A vegan,12-hour wear precision eyeliner that makes ease of winged eyeliner even in the shakiest of hands (aka me), this formula is arguably the best I have ever tried. Plus, I’m a sucker for chic packaging.”

“Sometimes we all need a little detox to reset and recharge. So, I was excited to try the Philip B Peppermint Avocado Scalp Scrub to detox my scalp. I loved how invigorating the scrub felt and how clean my hair felt afterwards. I do have quite a sensitive scalp, though, so I did find it slightly irritating so would probably cut back to monthly use.”

“A sublime hair treatment elixir, the Oribe Hair Alchemy Fortifying Treatment Serum is the ultimate nourishment buddy for damaged hair. Providing softness while strengthening the hair and adding shine, it is definitely a winner in my book.”

Sue Hoffman

Strategic Partnerships Director

“I think 5 Stars is a pretty apt name for this Sunday Riley Eye Serum. From a product perspective, it certainly packs a punch with the current must-have ingredients (retinoid and niacinamide). From my personal perspective, I loved the application. It was smoothing and oh-so cooling in the morning. But the real kicker was the fact that each morning after use my eye area felt softer and really hydrated due to the potent and winning combination of ingredients (a special shoutout to olive oil and shea butter).

“Call it a bubbly cocktail! Juliette Has A Gun’s Lili Fantasy fragrance contains the perfect balance of whit flowers and ambery base notes, twisted with a frivolous bubble gum accord. The result? Surprisingly, a scent that is light enough for daily wear. Clean, sweet and a little woody.”

Hannah Brooks

Junior Designer

“This Vanessa Megan Body Oil feels like a trip to the day spa! I must admit that I am no saint when it comes to remembering to moisturise my body. However, this bottle of goodness has me reaching for more every night. It makes for the perfect wind down/self care moment at the end of a long day leaving the skin glowing, hydrated and smelling amazing. This natural and nourishing oil is not only great for hydration but can also help aid cellulite, stretch marks and scarring. It is also great for a growing belly. Talking about a dream product!”

Danielle Gay

Beauty Director & Executive Editor

“The Inika Radiant Glow Veil is the perfect primer—pop on clean and moisturised skin before applying makeup and watch your skin glow. Adding some dots to my cheekbones is my secret to looking more awake and because the Veil uses aloe vera, it’s extremely hydrating so perfect for all-day wear.”
