VIKTORIA + WOODS

When you sweater is named after Cincinnati and your skirt after Denver, it would be rude not to wear them while visiting the United States, right?

So last week, after end-of-the-world weather patterns fell upon New York during the launch of the Autumn/Winter 2015 collections, designers embraced the worst wind chill in twenty years (!) with looks to warm both our hearts and our wardrobes. But, it was Australian label Viktoria + Woods who beat the likes of Victoria Beckham, J.Crew and Prabal Gurung to the punch.

While it may look heavier than the similar grey version I wore snapped by fashion photographer Tommy Ton, this noir knit is surprisingly lightweight.

Paired with thermals in New York (obviously!), since returning to Sydney, I’ve continued to live in this head-to-toe style (but with open toe flats from Splice Boutique).

Sure, the ubiquitous trend of knits during the cooler months isn’t anything new but this sweater’s slouchy silhouette and skirt’s adjacent lines are what makes it modern and completely necessary to add to cart. Like, now.
