NYFW BACKSTAGE BEAUTY: PRABAL GURUNG S/S 15

Shrouded in darkness at a cavernous Corinthian-lined post office, Prabal Gurung unveiled his S/S 15 collection in New York – adding shoes to his growing repertoire.

“Each season we aim to create looks that will inspire women across the globe to express their own style,” says Gurung. “The ultimate goal is to make women feel both confident and beautiful.”

Backstage – in a dimly lit space – Paul Hanlon, Hair Stylist for TRESemmé got to work on the models. “The hair for Prabal Gurung was inspired by strong, athletic and modern women,” he says. “Prabal and I envisaged a woman who had just come from the gym and was walking down the street with a sweaty ponytail, which she had just raked back using her fingers.” Gurung adds, “The structure of the ponytail gives it an edge that complements the multi-layered sports inspired collection.”
