A wedding is the perfect excuse to splurge on your skin, but we get that it can be overwhelming. There’s a lot of treatments and not a lot of time. That’s why Gritty Pretty’s introduced Bridal Beauty, our new section dedicated to word-of-mouth bridal beauty tips from those in the know.
We’re kicking things off with E! Australia presenter, Ksenija Lukich. The model and TV presenter married her lawyer-partner of then-seven years, Dan Bragg, just over a year ago in a traditional Serbian service, followed by a reception at Sydney’s Centennial Park.
MY WEDDING SKIN PREP…
“I started about 6 months in advance. I wear a lot of makeup day to day so really wanted to make sure my skin was as free from congestion as possible.”
MY SKINCARE REGIME…
“I started getting regular deep cleansing facials as well as Laser Genesis every 6 weeks (obsessed!). My skin texture improved rapidly and it makes the skin more even. I also did had regular Omnilux. Not only does the red light help with healing it is also incredibly relaxing.”
I WOULD CHANGE…
“I wish I had paid more attention to how my diet was affecting my skin. I think we often forget how intertwined the two are. Also, while it wasn’t always possible in my case I wish I had a few more makeup free days. Nothing beats giving your skin a little rest from everything and letting it breathe.”
MY WEDDING INSPIRATION…
“I follow a few makeup artists on instagram and made sure to screenshot my fav looks. My favourite to follow are Max May amd Hung Vanngo.”
MY HAIR & MAKEUP ARTIST…
“The fabulous Max May did my hair and makeup. He has done my makeup a number of times and I always love the way he makes me feel. My brief was bronze-y, fresh dewey and beautiful. That is Max’s specialty so I was very confident in him! I wanted my hair parted down the middle and slick behind my ears with a soft wave and texture through the ends. The completed look felt polished without being ‘overdone’.”
MY LIPSTICK…
“I wore M.A.C Lipstick in ‘Pure Zen’. It is one of my all time favourite nudes and it has a creamy finish which was beautiful and soft.”
MY FRAGRANCE…
“I wore Tom Ford Black Orchid (my husband’s favourite) and he wore Vera Wang for Men.”
