The Serum You Used To Steal From Your Mum Just Got A Facelift

We didn’t think it was possible for it to get better, yet here we are.

There were not many words of advice our mums could give us when we were teenagers that we’d pay attention to. Don’t wear red and pink together (formal photos circa early 2000s show this was ignored), don’t overdo it on the fake tan front (schoolies memories with our girlfriends prove this was disregarded) and always bring a jacket (we still ignore this piece of advice every weekend). But if there was one successful piece of advice that stuck with us over the years, it’s this: always take care of your skin.

With lotions and potions overflowing in our mothers bathroom cabinets, many of us can remember eagerly waiting for the day that a skincare routine would become necessary for us. Watching our mums apply their serums and moisturisers and dabbling in the decadent bottles ourselves when she wasn’t looking was almost a rite of passage. And, for many of us this shared memory included one cult product: Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage Anti-Ageing Serum. The mirrored bottle sitting almost ethereally on her top shelf (purposely just out of our reach).

Since its launch in 2005, the Prevage Serum has cemented itself as a powerhouse product for preserving youthfulness and ensuring a luminous complexion. Designed to correct, protect and perfect, the serum is likely the reason why your mum’s complexion is your #skingoals. But, like everything, there’s always room for improvement. Cue: Prevage Anti-Ageing Serum 2.0—the latest iteration of the heritage serum that promises to deliver even better results than before.

That’s right, now with four times the antioxidant power of the original, Prevage 2.0 works to firm and improve elasticity, even skin tone and texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles all while visibly reducing dark spots by 78 percent. With idebenone (the single most powerful antioxidant), new Vitamin C, new Vitamin E and a new peptide blend, the supercharged formula will have you looking as good as your beautiful mum in no time.

Art director and content creator Talisa Sutton and her mother Dawn sat down with Gritty Pretty to chat about the latest Elizabeth Arden Prevage iteration and reminisce on the product that’s so essential, it’s almost part of their family.
