8 Products Our Editors Can’t Get Enough Of This Month: March 2023

What we’re loving, coveting and “borrowing” from the Gritty Pretty beauty cupboard this month.

“A supercharged serum for skin that glows all day long, the Lancome Advanced Genefique Serum has quickly become a mainstay in my routine. Formulated to recover the skin barrier, the serum is proven to strengthen the microbiome and help the skin become more resilient while you wear. Needless to say, since introducing this bottle of goodness into my routine, my complexion appears smoother, plumper and more radiant. Gold star!”

Acting Editor

“When we talk about cult classics or staple beauty products, this is what we’re referring to. A product that transcends the ages, actually works and can solve more than one of our beauty concerns. Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant has been around for more than 75 years and continues to be loved for its skin-saving properties. It’s an intensive balm that can help heal everything from chapped lips or to dry skin—chuck it in your handbag for emergencies.”

Hannah Brooks

Junior Designer

“The Ms Brown Neroli Body Oil takes me somewhere else. Unsure on whether it’s the calming ingredients of camellia or jojoba oil, or simply the practice of taking some time out to lather my skin in this liquid goodness, this bottle should come with a de-stress disclaimer. Another perk to this luxurious oil is that it seeps into the skin fast (meaning I can hit the sheets ASAP) but leaves it soft, supple and fragrant for a long time. Certainly set to be a new staple in my wind down routine.”

Tanika Rouillon

Producer

“A stand out feature of any product for me is when it’s Australian made. So, naturally the Davroe MCT (Moisture Conditioning Treatment) is a big yes. Kakadu plum is the hero ingredient in this hair mask. The smell and feel—it’s the Australian bush in a bottle. My hair feels intensely nourishing and softer after use and the scent is incredible yet understated. The formula is also vegan and cruelty-free which is a huge plus!”

Lilli Corbett

Account Manager

“Toning for me is an easily skipped step when in a hurry. But prepping my skin with the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner has been a step I’ve been looking forward to as of late. Thicker than a traditional toner, this alcohol-free, pH balanced formula is a friend to all skin types. Incorporating a nourishing blend of squalene and stone fruit oils, this consistently leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated rather than stripped and dry. Love it!”

Eliza Hynd

Head Of Partnerships

“A refreshing Parisienne eye contour cream that gives a little TLC to tired eyes, the Embryolisse Smoothing Eye Contour Care glides on oh-so smoothly. It is also non-irritating with damask rose extract that brightens the delicate area. A little goes a long way and it doesn’t break the bank either!”

Nicola Sevitt

Senior Creative Producer

“The GP team are most likely sick and tired of hearing me complain about my thin and broken hair, so I was super pleased to find this little bottle of goodness in the beauty cupboard (and I’m sure they are too). I’m manifesting hot girl hair for 2023 and Living Proof’s Triple Bond Complex has been a glorious starting point. This weekly leave-in treatment and hair mask promises to make hair eight times stronger and protect against future damage. So far, so good—the treatment is easy to apply, smells divine and doesn’t leave the hair feeling heavy or sticky. After blow-drying, my strands feel smooth and I can definitely notice that added boost of shine.”

Sue Hoffman

Strategic Partnerships Director

“So, Musq’s Farmbalm is one of those products that you don’t really know you need until you have it. Dry lips? Tick! End-of-summer dry heels? Tick! It even helped heal a couple of blisters after a night out dancing. Small and compact, you can pop it in your bag—and you’ll be glad that you did!”
