The 2021 Chanel Advent Calendar Is All We Want For Christmas

Christmas has come early! Chanel has launched its first ever beauty advent calendar and now there’s only one thing we hope to find under our tree. 

Shaped like an enormous bottle of Chanel N°5, the 2021 Chanel holiday calendar celebrates the 100th birthday of the iconic fragrance. Designed as a work of art, the giant Chanel N°5 bottle opens to reveal 27 mini boxes full of Chanel gifts. The advent calendar will be released in limited quantities—so you’re going to want to be quick—and costs $1140AUD.

In what is Chanel’s take on the holiday calendar, the advent’s luxurious boxes are numbered from 5 to 31. Chanel chose to begin with number 5 as the ultimate tribute to the fragrance and 31 symbolises the address of Gabrielle Chanel’s first store and her original atelier in Paris—31 Rue Cambon. 

Inside each little black-and-white gift box is a surprise Chanel gift. A 35ml bottle of Chanel No.5 is hidden within one box, while another hides the brand’s cult N°5 hand cream. The luxurious calendar also includes a bottle of Le Vernis in an exclusive new shade of red (for Christmas, of course!) and two full-size limited-edition Rouge Allure lipsticks—one in matte and one in the satin finish. Like the nail polish, both lipsticks are in a perfect shade of festive red. 

Other dates in the advent calendar reveal must-have Chanel collector’s items that you won’t be able to purchase anywhere else—including a Chanel snow globe, tree ornament, a N°5 key ring, a magnetic bookmark and custom Chanel holiday stickers.
