10 of Margot Robbie’s Best Barbie Beauty Moments

It’s a Barbie world and we’re just here to admire the beauty looks.

If you thought you had accidentally stepped into Barbie world recently, you’re not alone. Margot Robbie and her Barbie press tour looks have had the internet in a chokehold these last few weeks (us included) and for good reason. Each time she steps out onto the pink carpet, Robbie’s Barbie-inspired beauty looks are flawlessly executed–from the hair to the makeup and even the nails. Each look paying tribute to a Barbie of the past, Robbie, her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, and hairstylist, Bryce Scarlett, have knocked it out of the park. Think glamorous blonde Barbie waves, baby pink makeup tones and perfect doll-like skin (duh).

We have soaked up every bit of the Barbie press tour, so much so that it’s left us wondering: what will we do with our spare time now it’s coming to an end? So, naturally, we’ve compiled 10 of Robbie’s best Barbie beauty moments, ahead of the movie release on July 20.

SOFT PINK HUES

Beginning with one of her most recent appearances, the London premiere, Robbie channeled soft pink Barbie glam. Inspired by the ‘Enchanted Evening’ Barbie of 1960, Robbie’s makeup is fresh with subtle hints of baby pink on the lids and cheeks, with her hair pulled back into a loose updo. Makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, uses Chanel’s Rouge Coco Baume in shade ‘Pink Delight’ to achieve that flawless muted pink pout. Speaking to Harpers Bazaar UK, Dubroff explains the choice to stick with soft makeup as a way to highlight Robbie’s Barbie-like complexion.

EFFORTLESSLY CHIC

Stepping onto the pink carpet at a London photo call, Robbie stuns in another updo–only this time more effortlessly chic. The hair look is simple, with pieces left to form cool-girl bangs that perfectly complement her face. The makeup look is kept natural–though definitely not lacking radiance–with a dark nude lip, long lashes and a hint of colour on the cheeks. This Barbie is cool-girl chic.

OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAM

Although there’s no pink in sight for this Barbie look, Robbie’s beauty is as flawless as ever. Her hair is pulled back in an old Hollywood glamour-style high ponytail, with hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, crediting the help of Tangle Teezer’s Wide Tooth Comb and Ultimate Detangler to achieve the look. Robbie’s complexion is kept natural and glowy, allowing the red lip to be the star of the makeup look. Makeup artist, Pati Dubroff tells Vogue that Robbie’s ethereal glow is the work of Chanel Baume Essential Multi-Use Glow Stick in shades ‘Transparent’ and ‘Sculpting’.

BARELY THERE GLAM

For the South Korean premiere in Seoul, Robbie’s beauty look complemented her sparkling pink ensemble. From the barely there splash of baby pink on her lids, to the hot pink French tip manicure, every element of this beauty look says Barbie. Her hair is swept to the side and honey blonde locks fall softly over her shoulders in loose curls. Skin is kept picture-perfect, with a wash of blush on the cheeks helping to freshen Robbie’s doll-like complexion.

GROOVY BARBIE

Inspired by the 1992 ‘Totally Hair’ Barbie, Robbie stepped out for a photocall in Mexico City with long, luscious locks. Looking like she came straight from the ‘90s, Robbie’s hair look is voluminous, structured, crimp-like waves – making all millennials nostalgic for the crimped hair of our childhoods. The makeup is again kept Barbie fresh, with pink eyeliner, fluffy lashes and a natural lip. And, of course we can’t overlook the groovy Barbie-esque mani created by Chanel nail artist, Betina Goldstein. You can watch the tutorial for how she created the look (and give it a go yourself) on her Instagram here

SWEET PEACH

Just when you thought we’d seen every shade of pink possible, pinky-peach enters the chat. Posting to Instagram, Robbie’s makeup artist, Pati Dubroff,  says this beauty look might be her favourite from the whole tour. Using peach tones on the eyes, inspired by the Vivienne Westwood suit,  and keeping it consistent with a peach lip, Robbie’s makeup is youthful and elegant. Her golden hair is left out, forming smooth, glossy curls which complete the look perfectly.

PINK IS THE NEW BLACK

Are we sick of Barbie pink yet? The answer you’re looking for is never. Paying homage to 1964’s ‘Sparkling Pink’ Barbie, Robbie’s beauty look for a press conference in Seoul is all pink everything. A deeper pink lip is the main feature, a welcome (yet ever so slight) change from the soft pink we’ve seen before. The complexion and eye look both steer more natural, with voluminous lashes helping to highlight Robbie’s stunning blue eyes. Hairstylist, Bryce Scarlett, sticks with faultless smooth blonde curls for the hair look, leaving the hot-pink bedazzled hat to stand out.

NATURAL BEAUTY

This Barbie is a natural beauty. In one of Robbie’s more casual Barbie moments (wearing Versace, mind you), she stuns with a low-maintenance blow out. Contrasting the usual ‘not a hair out of place’ hair looks we’ve seen throughout the press tour, here Robbie goes for soft undone locks effortlessly framing her face. Her makeup look sees dusty rose shades used on the eyes and lips, adding radiance and warmth to the look.

LOOKS LIKE SUMMER

You’d be mistaken for thinking it was summer in Sydney looking at this Barbie moment. Channeling the first ever Barbie from 1959, Robbie’s beauty look for the Bondi stop of the tour is all about a luminous summer complexion. Saying goodbye to pink (for now), the beauty look centred around glowy, bronzed skin, with a pop of glossy orange-red on the lips. Robbie’s hair is styled in a curly high ponytail, elevating the vintage summer vibes of the look.

GLOSSY LIP

Ending with one of Robbie’s funnest Barbie looks, this beauty moment is one for the books. For the Mexico City premiere, Robbie’s beauty look sticks to the pink theme – but this time there’s gloss. A glossy pink lip and pink pigmented blush adds to the magical aura of the look, making Robbie’s complexion seem iridescent. Her hair is pulled back into a half-up half-down loosely crimped hairstyle, channeling the ‘Earring Magic’ Barbie of the ‘90s.
