IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination SPF 50+, $58
Where has this been my entire 10-year-beauty editor career?! When I fall for a product, I fall hard – and that is coming from a cynic. This IT Cosmetics Illuminating CC Cream provides perfect medium to full coverage, pigmentation such as redness is covered and dull skin suddenly radiates. It’s so popular it’s often cleared out on Sephora shelves. Try it, buy it (maybe two or three for safe measure) and you’ll never go back. Ever.

Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam, $43
Oily roots are the bane of my existence. For a ‘wash-my-hair-every-single-day girl who is trying to transition to sexy-every-second-day-hair, this is the holy grail. This genius dry shampoo foam (the first of its kind in the world) goes on wet but works the same way a dry shampoo powder spray does. As you continue to massage the product into your scalp, it magically begins to dry, leaving no residue behind whatsoever. In fact, Jen Atkin told me personally she was inspired to create this product after one of her followers, a nurse, reached out to her about a product that was commonly used in hospitals — a no-rinse foam cleanser that could be used to bathe patients who cannot leave their hospital beds. Atkin was then prompted to create the innovative dry shampoo foam and now, women like me, are forever in her debt.

Ultraceuticals Dual Microfoliant, $79
I’m eight months out from my wedding day (exciting!) so I’m getting ready to start my Wedding Skin Plan. Before I start on a course of facials, peels and Omnilux light therapy, I’m using this this dual-action exfoliator, which contains teeny tiny Vitamin C exfoliating particles. Applied onto clean, dry skin at night (it’s one to do at the sink – not in the shower), gently massage it in circular motions and remove excess with a warm damp cloth. You may experience a bit of redness (I did) and feel a bit of residue left on the skin but you’ll wake up to brighter, smoother and softer skin.

Revlon ColorStay Cream Eyeshadow in Expresso, $14.95 (Available 15th August)
Creamy eye shadows are the perfect product for the busy, lo-fi beauty woman. These gems can be applied with the in-built brush or finger. Simply dab, swipe and go forth and conquer. My tip? ‘Espresso #715’ is the perfect universal shade and makes every colour look good.

David Mallett Mask No 1 L’Hydration, $99
Winter and constant travel has taken its toll on my hair. To combat dehydrated strands, this mask has brought my hair back to life. Applied once a week (Sunday nights are recommended and a glass of wine is optional), hair is soft, shiny and full of moisture without being weighed down.

Kate Somerville EradiKate Daily Cleanser, $55
For the past month, I’ve been using this thick whipped pink mousse cleanser with 3% calming and antiseptic sulphur and now my skin skin is noticeably less reactive when I eat badly, sleep poorly or its that very special time of the month for a woman. That’s not to say my skin is completely clear, but any bumps are way less aggressive and red. It doesn’t dry skin out either, rather keeping it balanced and chill with honey, natural oat and rice-bran extracts. Very noice.

Amy Jean Lash Lift, $115
Once you’ve tried Amy Jean’s Lash Lift, you’ll wonder how you ever went without. A highly addictive treatment that semi-permanently curls your lashes, making you look instantly ‘done’ errrrday for up to two months. Many compliments, you shall receive.

KORA Organics Noni Glow Body Oil, $79.95
The easiest way to elevate your everyday body moisturiser is by adding a few pumps of oil. This one, infused with Miranda Kerr’s favourite Noni oil, has its ratios just right. It feels lightweight and deeply hydrating all at once, and has the freshest, juiciest, most uplifting scent of any oil I’ve used.

La Prairie 3 Minute Peel, $295
As one of the fastest growing luxury beauty brands, La Prairie is worth the investment and the buzz. While not every product in their highly active collection will be right for everybody, the 3 Minute Peel works for all ages (over 20) and can be used on the entire face for a clearer, brighter complexion in 120 seconds, or on blind, hormonal pimples as they arise.
