In an effort to capture authentic, candid moments of Donaldson, but also of her completely in her element working behind the camera as much as in front of it, we called upon a stellar team for this special cover shoot in direct support of cancer organisation, Pink Hope.

Behind the lens to shoot this charity cover shoot was Sydney fashion photographer, Eddie NewMakeup artist Ania Milczarczyk and hair stylist for AvedaDarren Summors created the natural, but elevated beauty look. All crew on set that day, including Donaldson, generously donated their time to shoot the cover with the hopes of bringing attention to the message of using your influence – however big or small – to start a conversation and being diligent about women’s health. Yours and your friends.

MAKEUP

“Healthy, glowing skin was a huge focus and I wanted Sara to look fresh and dewy so I steered clear of powders only using one as the blush,” says makeup artist, Ania Milczarczyk.

SKIN:
“Skin was prepped with La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Lotion and Laura Mercier Foundation Primer.

BASE:
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in ‘Nude’ was buffed into Sara’s skin for very light coverage. No concealer was used under the eyes because I wanted as much of her skin showing through in all the tight-cropped photos. At the end, M.A.C Fix Plus Spray was misted on top to give the appearance of extra moisture.”

CONTOURING & EYES:
Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Palette was applied using warm finger tips. I also used the brown contouring side of the palette on eyes applying with a soft eyeshadow brush, then applying the highlighting side over the top of eyelids with fingertips for a glossy finish.”

BLUSH:
M.A.C Powder Blush in ‘Modern Mandarin’ was used on the apple of the cheeks.”

BROWS:
“Brows were filled in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brows Palette and finished with Anastasia Beverly Clear Brow Gel.

LIPS:
“I used Lanolips 101 Ointment Fruities in ‘Strawberries’.

HAIR

“I wanted today’s look to encapsulate the mission of this issue. We created something soft, feminine and beautiful with a strength and empowerment to it that was true to Sara’s minimalistic style,” says hair stylist, Darren Summors.

PREP:
“I prepped the hair using Aveda Thickening Tonic to add body and fullness to the hair.”

STYLING:
Aveda Witch Hazel Hairspray was used to add shine and give hair hold to create two textured knots.”
