Get The Cover Look: Khloé Kardashian
We take you behind the scenes…
Part of the famous family that has been a mainstay on our televisions for the last 14 years, Khloé Kardashian is one busy woman. But despite being a celebrity, influencer, reality TV veteran, businesswoman and mother, the 36-year-old is most well-known for the person she is off-camera. Kindness and positivity are the two words that spring to mind, with Kardashian often sharing thoughtful affirmations with her 133 million Instagram followers. With investor status and an ambassadorship of New Zealand-born collagen brand, Dose & Co, now under her belt we couldn’t think of a better person to cover our first Gritty Pretty Magazine issue of 2021.
Kardashian’s Gritty Pretty cover was shot in her hometown of Los Angeles with Greg Swales behind the lens, Andrew Fitzsimmons responsible for the mermaid-esque hair and Mary Phillips the maestro behind the neutral makeup look of our dreams.
Read on to find out how to recreate the cover look. You’re welcome.
“The shoot was all about glowy skin, healthy skin and healthy hair. I wanted to keep the hair very natural with a slightly tousled wave. More of a bend than a conventional wave to look natural, shiny bouncy and gorgeous. The top products for this look were TIGI Bedhead After Party Smoothing Cream for shine, the limited edition Andrew Fitzsimons x Primark Bounce Strong Hold Hairspray to hold the look and Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer for the blowout.”
– Andrew Fitzsimons, Hair Stylist
“Khloe’s soft, glowing glam was created by prepping the skin with Crème de La Mer, which provides the perfect moisturised, dewy canvas. I then used the KKW Beauty Lip Liner in shade Suede Rose to enhance her lips whilst adding a warm undertone. To finish off the look, I used a mixture of KKW Beauty Nude Crème Lipstick in Shades 5 and 6 to create a perfect rosy brown pout in the center of her lip.”
– Mary Phillips, Makeup Artist
