Think Pink: Shop These Beauty Buys for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Unfortunately, breast cancer is close to the hearts of so many of us.

According to The National Breast Cancer Foundation, it’s the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with eight women losing their battle every single day. Every. Single. Day. And, whilst there has been so much headway towards finding a cure, it’s staggering statistics like these that prove there is still so much work to be done.

Each year, October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, and The Estèe Lauder Companies are once again running the annual Breast Cancer Campaign. The charity initiative was started by Estèe Lauder’s daughter-in-law Evelyn H. Lauder in 1992—she also co-created the iconic pink ribbon—and campaigned tirelessly throughout her life for the cause. To date, the Breast Cancer Campaign has raised over $76 million toward research, education and medical services, and supports more than 60 breast cancer organisations around the world.

Here’s how we can do our part. This year, The Estèe Lauder Companies have released a limited edition Beauty Box, with ALL proceeds from each sale going to support The Garvan Institute of Medical Research, one of the leading breast cancer research teams in Australia.

Retailing at $149 (valued at $215), each Beauty box includes a combination of both sample and full size products, including Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo and Conditioner,  Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ and Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom EDP, Estée Lauder DayWear Eye Cooling Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Creme, MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Fix+.

In addition, a number of other Estèe Lauder Companies products have also donned pink for the occasion, including La Mer The Cleansing Micellar Water and Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturiser+, with a percentage of proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
