The Hailey Bieber Hair Routine You Need To Get Her Iconic Tousled Locks

Mrs Bieber, you have our attention.

Hailey Bieber is no stranger to the world of beauty. As one of the most sought-after models today, the socialite is a welcome presence to the industry. And while she’s been captured sporting a wide variety of beauty looks, it’s her signature waved hairstyle that has remained a main topic of conversation throughout her career.

Starting her modelling journey in 2014, Bieber (née Baldwin) quickly catapulted to social media stardom. Famous for her chic, model-off-duty street style, she is now a prime reference for all things fashion, makeup, and hair. She even launched her namesake YouTube channel, Hailey Rhode Bieber, in early 2021 as a continuation of her love of beauty. That’s right, you can now access her insider tips and tricks, interviews and routines at the source. There is no doubt that Hailey is a fellow beauty junkie (welcome to the club, gf!).

Celebrity hairstylist, Amanda Lee Hair, is one of Bieber’s hair ride-or-dies. Working in collaboration, the pair have tried everything from long and sleek to pulled back and messy.

Wanting to try the Hailey Bieber hair look? No need to hire a celebrity stylist! As a beauty fanatic, Mrs Bieber keeps us all well-informed (thanks to her handy YouTube tutorials). Sharing her ‘Wavy Hair for a Night Out’ routine, the media star has your effortless wavy hair look covered.  And the best part? It’ll only take 15 minutes of your time.

Step One

Prep

On wet hair, Bieber applies the Ouai Volume Spray. With a clean, fresh scent and volumising effect, the prep spray is one of the star’s holy grails.

Notably, Bieber is also a fan of the K18 Leave-in Molecular Hair Mask. As a damage-reversing saviour, why not throw this treatment in the mix for some extra hair loving? Before getting into the styling, Bieber blow-dries her hair until fully dry.

Step Two

Section

Coating her freshly dried strands with the IGK Beach Club Texture Spray, Bieber clips her hair into sections, ready for her straightener (she uses the Dyson Corrale Hair Straightener).

Step Three

Style

We’re getting into the magic here! Hailey goes “piece by piece, section by section” with her straightener, using a back and forth ‘wave’ motion (down and up). This technique gives the hair a slightly bent and lived-in effect, perfect for day-to-day wear.

As she continues with the styling process, the model recommends adding more texture spray as needed for “additional grip”. Once reaching the top section, she also advises starting lower down on the hair (around the ears) to avoid pesky dents.

Step Four

Finish

Putting down her straightener, Bieber likes to apply a final spritz of her texture spray, a coat of Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Unscented Dry Shampoo and a mist of light hold hairspray (she uses the Phyto Phytolaque Soie Hair Spray) to lock it all in.

The added texture and grit from her finishing sprays gives the look a more effortless effect, while the use of dry shampoo and holding spray add freshness and lasting power.

Once completed, give your roots a final sprouse and…voilà! Quick and easy tousled waves.  Thank you, Mrs Bieber!
