“I love scents that are smoky and rich, so a decadent dash of the AYU Perfume Oil in ‘Sufi’ before my late night dinner last week made me feel like I were dining in a hidden Moroccan souk. Layered with saffron, sandalwood and some honey and spice, it’s warming, yet subtly sexy. Plus, the perfume oil is restorative with Ayuverdic herbs, which makes it a winter must in more ways that one. — Amie Jones, Designer.

“Having spent most of my adult life searching the shopping aisles for any type of de-frizzing, smoothing, volume-reducing hair styling products, I was delighted to trial the latest launch from OLAPLEX, the No.6 Bond Smoother. Given OLAPLEX’s reputation as the current holy grail of nourishing, reparative hair treatments, I couldn’t wait to get this creme on my tresses. I followed the directions diligently and felt that after the first use my hair was not the level of slick, silky smoothness as what I was hoping for —however, by the second and third uses I had figured out the perfect amount of product to use in my very thick hair, and was thrilled with how shiny, healthy and indeed smooth my hair looked and felt. All in all, did it live up to the hype? I would say yes.” — Sue Hoffman, Brand Partnerships Manager.

A champion of clean beauty, lilah b. has become known for their glowing base products that give luminosity and colour without looking too ‘done’. Enter: the Glisten + Glow Skin Illuminator. If the next-level luxurious, pebble-style packaging hasn’t already sold you, then let us get to the formula. A whipped, creamy consistency, it melts into the skin, hydrating with brown sea algae and blackcurrant seed oil — however, it is in no way tacky, as many oil-based and cream highlighters tend to be, something that I’ve long accepted as a given when it comes to cream illuminator. How the geniuses at lilah b. have managed to achieve this, I’m not sure — but you know that video of Lady Gaga? That is how I feel every single time I dab this onto to my cheekbones. This is a huge call, but I feel like I have found my Perfect Highlighter, in terms of texture, colour, level of shimmer and longevity. Praise be to lilah b. — Hannah Paul, Editorial & Beauty Assistant.

Being a lover of robust scents, I couldn’t wait to try out the Boy Smells Candle in ‘Ash’, which is the perfect balance of traditionally masculine (smoky, woody) and feminine (fresh and fruity). I loved the unique pairing of black coals and dry hay with juniper berry, which sounds like a strange combination, but works beautifully. While overwhelming at first, after lighting for a while, my apartment smelt incredible. — Morgan Tait Timberlake, Creative Director.

“The Summer Fridays R+R Mask is simply delicious. On applying to my dry, clean face, the grainy texture of the ground wild rose powder gives an immediate sense of cleanliness as it buffers away dead skin cells. The more you spread it, the more the aroma of sweet, sweet roses fills your lungs, and it is heavenly. To have this mask sit on your face for ten minutes is a real treat. The antioxidant-rich oils—including argan, safflower, sesame, avocado and grapeseed, left my skin feeling hydrated and nourished, with a glow that could be seen from outer space. A 10/10 from me! I loved it so much so, that I even convinced my husband to let me apply it to his face too!”— Aniella Batten, Business Development Manager.

It’s no secret that Charlotte Tilbury’s eyeshadows have near-unrivalled quality and pigment, and this limited edition palette is no exception. The Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in ‘Dreamgasm’ is a selection of wearable colours from some of their bestselling palettes — think copper-bronze, rose gold and champagne tones — and true to typical CT form, the shadows blend beautifully and have incredible staying power. I have been reaching for this a lot, as it is the perfect desk-to-drinks palette — for a daytime look, wash over the lid with the lighter champagne shades, and then by smoking out with the rusted bronze colour or adding a pop of colour to the centre of the lid with the vibrant rose gold shade, you’ve got a sophisticated nighttime look created with minimal effort. If you’ve never ventured into the magical world of Charlotte Tilbury, here is the perfect place to start. — Erica Wildey, Business Development Manager.

“At the end of a long day, there is nothing more satisfying than these three things: 1) removing your shoes, 2) your bra and 3) your makeup. I used the La Prairie Supreme Balm Cleanser after travelling from Sydney to Switzerland when my skin was literally at its driest. This indulgent cleansing balm melts your makeup (as well as your worries and woes) away. The cleanser undergoes a surprising and delightful transformation on the skin, beginning as a beautifully rich balm before transforming first into a sumptuous oil and then with a splash of lukewarm water, into a gentle, milky emulsion. What I loved most about it was the art of cleansing being a real beauty ritual — it felt indulgent, and why shouldn’t our skin routine be? Once applied, my skin was free from impurities while feeling calm and clean. To finish, enjoy a cup of tea and an episode of Younger. #selfcareeveryday.”— Eleanor Pendleton, Editor-in-Chief.

I love that Charlotte Tilbury palette. It looks so much like the one I have from another brand called Skone Cosmetics. Their colors are bright and shimmery and super pigmented. The name of the palette is Pink Champagne and you can find it here at https://skonecosmetics.com
