How To Get Sofia Richie Grainge’s Wedding Makeup Look
The perfect wedding does, in fact, exist.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past five days (or have taken a social media hiatus), you would know that Sofia Richie—daughter of famous singer, Lionel Richie—got married to longtime partner, Elliot Grainge over the weekend. The star-studded ceremony took place at the iconic Hotel Cap Du Eden Roc in the South of France and guests included Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz and Richie’s sister and brother-in-law Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.
A celebrity wedding of royal wedding proportions, everything from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and the after party (which, yes, included Good Charlotte performing ‘Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous’ live) was pure perfection. Richie was dressed by French fashion house, CHANEL, throughout the festivities with her wedding gown taking CHANEL ateliers over four and a half months to finish. Working closely with CHANEL creative director, Virginie Viard, the gown was heavily embroidered with white sequins and beads and featured a dainty lace criss-cross neckline.
But the piece de resistance? Richie’s wedding beauty look. With hair perfectly pulled back to a sleek low bun (which let her stunning teardrop diamond earrings do all the talking), Richie called upon the makeup expertise of famed artist Pati Dubroff to make her feel her best on the day. Here, Dubroff breaks down the makeup look from start to finish (even applying the products on her own face in this TikTok). Needless to say, our beauty wishlist just tripled and we need every product, like, now.
THE CHEEKS
“For Sofia’s cheeks, I used the Nudestix Matte All Over Face Colour in Sunkissed,” said Dubroff. “On top, I also layered the shade Picante for a peachy hue. I also added the Makeup By Mario Soft Sculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer in shade Light Medium to the outskirts of the face. This just adds a touch of a sunkissed glow but isn’t anything too heavy. I’m obsessed with it.”
THE EYES
“For the eyes, I used the CHANEL Stylo et Contour in 12 and then blended it out along the lash line,” Dubroff explained. “On the lids, I used a gold gloss from the CHANEL Duo Lumiere Palette, which is sadly no longer available, but you can achieve the same look by taking some gold eyeshadow and mixing it into a clear balm for a luminous gold glow. We then went in with mascara and I used the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara.”
THE LIPS
“The exact lip for Sofia on her wedding day was the CHANEL Rouge Coco Baume in 928 Pink Delight. I also added the Intense Matte Lip and Cheek Pencil from Nudestix in Sunkissed Nude to the centre,” said Dubroff. “To contour the lips, I used the lip pencil from DIBS in shade Medium. Don’t be scared—it does look kind of grey but it is actually the most perfect lip pencil for giving a little hidden definition and contour.”
