Vanity Affairs: Victoria’s Secret Model Alannah Walton Takes Us Inside Her Beauty Cabinet
The Australian model shares the beauty products she can’t live without.
Welcome to Vanity Affairs—a series where we document the beauty routines of notable people.
There are some people who have an I-can’t-put-my-finger-on-it kind of glow – a certain je ne sais quoi, if you will. You know the ones – their hair falls just right, their skin is dewy but never shiny, and they seem to exude confidence.
In the interest of public service, we’ve set about tracking down these actors, influencers, models, founders, entrepreneurs, musicians, spokespeople (and more!!) to find out their secrets. Have you got your pen and paper ready?
Previously, we’ve spoken to Georgia Fowler, Jonathan Van Ness and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Today, we’re going inside the beauty bag of Australian model Alannah Walton.
Alannah Walton first rose to prominence in 2018, when she was cast in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. While that infamous runway show is no longer, it was huge news for the then 18-year-old model (and former professional swimmer!) from Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Not only did she kill her casting the first time around, she was a total force on the runway and has been one of our favourite models ever since.
Now, she has a new gig as an ambassador for Bean Body, an Australian beauty brand making organic coffee scrubs that smell good enough to eat.
Here, Walton shares every single product she uses in her day—from start to finish.
SKIN
“When I am not working I will always start my day with some sort of exercise. At the moment I’ll go for a nice walk and to reformer pilates. Generally before 8 o’clock.”
“My morning skincare routine has always been very simple, I tend to leave all the fun stuff for my night time routine. I will have a shower, and use a natural face oil. I am using Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate and Glow Face Oil. I love it because it’s so hydrating, but lightweight and perfect for under the makeup that will be used at work.”
“I’ll start my nighttime routine with a shower to wash away the day. This is when I will wash my face and use the coffee scrub to exfoliate my face and body. Lately I have been using Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum twice a week. On the nights that I am not using this, I will moisturise with face oil, and use a rose quartz roller to massage it into my skin. Lastly, I am loving Youth To The People eye cream, for extra hydration on the nights you need a little extra help!”
MAKEUP
“Less is more for me. My everyday makeup look has stayed the same for many years now. I am loving the Mecca Cosmetica In A Good Light Face Tint. It’s the perfect coverage and an SPF that doesn’t cause me to break out. Chanel Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream on top of the eyelids and on the cheeks. This product is great because it is cream based, making it really easy to blend into the skin without leaving you with the ‘cake’ look. Brushed up brows with a clear Maybelline Eyebrow Gel, because who doesn’t love fluffy brows right now? Last but not least Luma Lip and Cheek tint.”
HAIR
“Hair has never been my strong suit if I’m being honest. I used to be a swimmer, so my hair would always be dry and brittle (sometimes even green from the chlorine)… So I have always been using a Moroccan Oil for extra hydration.”
BODY
“Body care has always been really important to me. I have been making and using coffee scrubs since I was 13 years old. It’s perfect for a deep exfoliation. I am loving the ‘Bee My Manuka’ scrub from Bean Body. I only use products with natural ingredients when it comes to body and face care, so this product is perfect for me. I use it about three times a week and it leaves my skin feeling incredibly smooth and looking bright and glowy.”
FRAGRANCE
“I am really sensitive when it comes to fragrance. I am loving Ayu scented perfume oils. They are very subtle, but last on your skin throughout the whole day. They are also made from natural ingredients.”
