Launched in 2014, Gritty Pretty Magazine was Australia’s first ever digital beauty magazine.
Over ten years, Gritty Pretty published 40 issues, attracted over 35 million page views, amassed over 400,000+ podcast downloads and hosted thousands of people at beauty workshops and events across Australia.
Gritty Pretty Magazine attracted some of the world’s most powerful and influential women to grace its cover including Drew Barrymore, Khloe Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Hailey Bieber, Lily Collins, Phoebe Tonkin, Lara Worthington, Turia Pitt, Teresa Palmer and many more.
Founded by multi-award winning beauty journalist, Eleanor Pendleton, Gritty Pretty ceased publishing in May, 2024.

Gritty Pretty is the brainchild of Founder Eleanor Pendleton—one of Australia's most experienced and trusted beauty editors. Having written for the likes of Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar and InStyle, Eleanor transitioned into a Publisher role at the Gritty Pretty brand, overseeing the long-term strategy for the quarterly magazine, website and podcast, events division and productions agency arm, Gritty Productions. Today, Eleanor is the Founder & Creative Director of Gritty Productions.
