10 Of Our Favourite Travel-Friendly Beauty Products

Bon voyage…

If there’s one thing we’re pretty certain of it’s this…there’s nothing better than taking a vacation. And, if we’re honest, we’ve had some time to finesse our frequent flyer routines, and it has come with trial and error (and one to many exploded liquid blushes).

So in assistance of a friend—who might have plans on the shores of the Amalfi Coast, the snowy slopes in Japan, or in a rice field in Vietnam—we divulge our favourite travel-friendly products. From a tinted moisturiser that provides the ultimate glow, to a cleanser created for a skin reset and the perfect blush companion. Your best holiday skin awaits.

Sarah Daly, Art Director

“My skin likes routine. When I travel I avoid any skin stress by packing quality skincare products that just work. My favourite cleanser for travel is the Rationale #5 Cleanser as its the best skin reset no matter what conditions I’ve been in.”

Rose Garnett, Beauty Editor

“My favourite travel beauty product might seem a little over-the-top and, to be honest, it’s because it is. I love to travel with my Goop G.Tox Ultimate Dry Body Brush. I know, I know, I’m meant to be packing light but this is such a great tool to travel with to reduce puffiness, smooth your skin and keep your nightly ritual ticking along while you’re away from home. Use upward motions (brush towards your heart) starting at your feet and moving your way up the body and then jump in the shower. Finish with a luxurious body butter and you’ll be glowing and hydrated while you bask in the European sun.”

Eliza Hynd, Partnerships Director

“I love using the Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink while travelling. It gives a little pop of colour and shine and keeps the lips ultra-hydrated.”

Danielle Gay, Acting Editor

“The Rose Inc Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Colour comes on every trip with me. It’s compact, has a mirror and also ticks the boxes for the perfect lip-to-cheek formula. Best applied with your finger too, so I save space on brushes!”

Sue Hoffman, Strategic Partnerships Director

“As we all know, trying to condense down your beauty cabinet into a manageable travel size regime can be quite the challenge. So, looking for products that can multitask are essential for me and Chantecaille’s Just Skin Tinted moisturiser easily makes the cut. It’s just a really great product that provides a little bit of coverage without looking super made up and it contains an SPF which is always key.”

Hannah Brooks, Junior Designer

“I never stray from Flavedo & Albedo’s Dew Tint in Toffee as blush is my makeup constant. I love the rush or warmth it can bring to my face whether I’m applying it to my cheeks, eyes or lips. The Recyclable aluminium pot is small yet hardy, meaning my clumsiness doesn’t lead to a smashed product on the bathroom floor or in your travel case. And the formula is super buildable and hydrating making it perfect for any climate. Whether it’s a holiday in the sun or the snow, I can achieve the perfect rosy look with this handy product.”

Tanika Rouillon, Producer

The SK-II Facial Treatment Mask is worth the expense for any long-haul flight—although you can really get value for money when you buy them in a pack of 10 for just over $100. It’s the hero product in my kit and I pop it on an hour out from landing for plump-dewiness and hydration to all corners. Trust me, your skin will thank you for it!”

Lilli Corbett, Account Manager

“The Ilia Multi Stick in Whisper is such a versatile staple for me when travelling and it’s perfect to layer over a tinted SPF for a warm glow. When applying focus on the cheeks, lips and bridge of the nose—I’ll then add some concealer, a coat of mascara and I’m out the door (to get a dirty martini)! You can even add to the eyelids for some shimmer if you like as it’s blendable and buildable. We love a multi-use cosmetic!”

Nicola Sevitt, Senior Producer

Summer Fridays Jetlag Mask contains all the good stuff. Think: niacinamide, glycerin and hyaluronic acid working together to bring you ultimate hydration. It’s the perfect calming treatment for any long-haul flight.”

Naomi Ferreira, Editorial & Partnerships Coordinator

“Simple skincare and a pared back makeup routine is the basis of any travel bag I pack. And I always find myself reaching for the travel-sized Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. It makes for the perfect base under a Kosas concealer and cream blush look for that covetable clean girl aesthetic.”
