8 Products Our Beauty Editors Can’t Get Enough Of This Month: November 2020

What we’re loving, coveting and “borrowing” from the Gritty Pretty beauty cupboard this month.

Nicola Sevitt, Special Projects Producer

As we approach the warmer months, all I’m after is that healthy, luminous glow — and the Clarins Double Serum ($149) is certainly impressing me in that field. I think of it as my evening glow potion. On top of a more hydrated complexion, I’ve also noticed a reduction in the appearance of those pesky fine lines. Needless to say, it has become a key player in my evening ritual.

Erin Cook, Beauty Director

Is it just me or does the fake tan on your face fade WAY faster than your body? I use Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops in Medium ($42) to give my face a golden tint so it’s more in line with the rest of my body if I’ve done an at-home self tan. These drops are good — just add 1-2 drops to your moisturiser in the evening and voila! Perfect every time.

Eleanor Pendleton, Founder & Editor-In-Chief

Packed full of the good stuff (sweet almond, squalane, shea butter and coconut oil) – and none of the yuck stuff (parabens, silicones, sulfates and mineral oils), if you love Go-To’s Very Useful Face Cream, I’d bet my baby’s life that you’ll love Skin Party ($34). Created to deeply nourish your beautiful bod, this comforting lotion sinks in and softens even the driest of skin (like mine).

Rose Garnett, Beauty Assistant

It’s always around this time of year that my hair is due for a serious reset. Cue: Kevin Murphy’s Re.Store ($54.95). This potent repairing treatment contains superfood proteins and fruit enzymes to help bind moisture to your hair and reconstruct any damaged barriers. My favourite part? It helps to restore the hair’s elasticity and strength which is great for my breakage-prone strands.

Kate Reeves, Art Director

For a little bit of glamour in my everyday life, I have been loving the Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum ($295). The fragrance is woody, musky and complemented with just the right amount of floral to keep it feminine. I award bonus points for the amazing gold packaging which takes my vanity from drab to fab. – Kate Reeves, Art Director

Liz Finnigan, Graphic Designer

One word to describe my thoughts on the Avène Sunscreen Emulsion Face SPF50+ ($26.99)? Perfect. This sunscreen ticks both of the big boxes (non-sticky and non-oily) and sits really well under my makeup. With breakout-prone skin I can be hesitant to try new sun protection products but this one was a 10/10. Would slip, slop and slap it on again!

Eliza Hynd, Head Of Partnerships

If you’re after a chic mascara to complete your routine the NARS Climax Mascara ($38) is the one for you. The glamorous red packaging is both beautiful and easy to locate in your makeup bag (!!) and the full-bodies brush delivers maximum volume. The formula is also super black to really make your lashes pop.

Sue Hoffman, Brand Partnerships Manager

I was excited to try this product as I haven’t really delved into the world of Ole Henriksen before and there seems to be a positive groundswell around it at the moment. For me, the Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner ($39) was perfect for targeting a lot of the areas I was keen to work on — dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles. My skin is already looking clearer and more refined!
