IN VOGUE

It’s not every day Vogue emails you asking to send a photographer to swing past your house to shoot and interview you. Actually, that’s never happened to me before.

However, a few months back, Amanda Mabel – a sweet and talented young photographer – came over and as you can imagine I was very excited.

In my mind, Vogue is a leader here in Australia. Each issue, expertly curated, allows you to get lost in its pages. To completely escape. But in recent years, with the rapid growth of digital, it’s Vogue’s evolution with technology that has really impressed me. Vogue, which has always been considered modern, doesn’t ignore the infinite platform that is online. It doesn’t resist it. It embraces it. Vogue is online and their website and social media is testament of that. Heck, the recent Inside Vogue: Eyes on the Future documentary showing how they created their 55th issue with Animal Logic is.

Mostly, Amanda and I chatted about my own experience working as a beauty editor at other magazines such as InStyle. But, she also got me to dish the dirt on what beauty products I really use.

P.S Thank you for all of your lovely emails and feedback on the new-look GRITTYpretty website. I couldn’t be happier that you love it as much as I do! Check it out on your iPhone or iPad too – it looks bad ass.

Hey Eleanor, I love your blog. I read your vogue piece and you mention major breakouts from stress caused by studies and talk bout how you use SK-11 along with other products to help relieve that. Would love to hear more about your advice when it comes to breakouts on the skin. Thanks
