6 Products Our Editors Can’t Get Enough Of This Month: September 2020 Edition

What we’re loving, coveting and “borrowing” from the Gritty Pretty beauty cupboard this month.

Let me share one of my top lazy girl secrets with you: a body oil is the easiest way to moisturise your whole body. Simply hop out of the shower, apply to damp skin (the more haphazard, the better), pat yourself dry with a towel and voila(!), your body is dry-yet-hydrated in 30 seconds flat. My obsession with body oils means I always have one on rotation and lately, I’ve been using Beauté Pacifique Corpus Paradoxe Body Oil ($113). This luxurious formula comes in a pump bottle (meaning less spillage) and is chock-full of the good stuff including squalane, grape seed oil and vitamin E to keep skin hydrated and youthful. Trust me, this lightweight formula sinks in like a dream and will make your limbs feel smoother than they’ve ever been.

Are you after instant volume and texture? The R+Co Balloon Dry Volume Spray ($44) is for you. The perfect freshen up to carry in your handbag, the spray not only smells delicious but is also light and workable, so you can say goodbye to that typical dry shampoo stickiness. I love it for achieving the perfect French girl summer crop, without looking too “done.”

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum ($110) has been part of my skin care routine for many, many years. Used morning and night, this deeply hydrating and nourishing serum works to protect skin during the day and repair the complexion at night. Packed full of hyaluronic acid, it’s a great all-rounder for any skin type and any skin concern such as dull, dry skin, uneven texture, fine lines and pigmentation. My beauty tip: add a couple of drops into your foundation for an extra boost of moisture in your make-up.

I know a lip balm has hit the mark when I find myself transferring it from bag to bag, and the Fresh Sugar Watermelon Hydrating Lip Balm ($24) is one such product.  The scent is sweet and fun, the texture smooth and hydrating. Once applied, my lips immediately felt plump and hydrated and there was no stickiness. I’m also a sucker for a pot and love the sleekness of this packaging. Put simply, it’s just perfect for the warmer months ahead.

And the Vitamin Enriched Eye Base ($84) is a game changer to say the very least. With vitamins B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12 (phew!) to nourish the skin and shea butter to smooth and prep, this all-in-one eye cream and primer is the perfect addition to your under eye routine. I love to pop it on after my skincare routine, directly under my concealer to keep the area plump and smooth all day long. Not usually one for primers, this product may just be the one that has finally converted me.
