And no, we’re not talking about remembering your passport or phone charger. Shocker–we’re talking beauty. How could we possibly part with our 17-step skincare routine? Or our seven separate conditioners (hey, they all do different things!)? And on top of it all, how can we possibly fit our favourite hair tools in a carry-on bag?

Well, forget sacrificing a jumper for the sake of a perfect blowdry, QT Hotels and Dyson have just announced one very special collaboration. Renowned for design, decadence and style, the designer hotel collection has announced its collaboration with luxury technology group, Dyson, so you can try out the brand’s hair tools while relaxing in the privacy of your own designer hotel room. Continuing to elevate its exceptional guest experience by bringing a suite of signature products to every guest room, QT proves yet again that it just gets it. 

Engineered for chaos, this partnership is perfect for the girl (*cough* me) who has a habit of pressing the snooze button and is then rushing to look presentable or for the night owl who wants to quickly touch up their look before heading back out to drinks with the girls. Celebrating the fact that we live in a fast-paced (and sometimes chaotic) world, the collaboration strives to be one less thing you have to think about–combining QT’s appreciation of disarray with Dyson’s leading technology. But, of course, we couldn’t give you a proper low down without trying it for ourselves.

The Sell: A Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer will take residence in every QT Hotel and Resort guest room, as well as Dyson Corrale Straighteners available across all suites and on request. For those needing a helping hand on how to handle the heat and create their head turner of a ‘do, Dyson instructional videos will be showcased in-room for all guests to experience.

The Review: Those who know me know that I am an infinitely nicer/funnier/cooler person when my hair is done. I could go to the Met Gala without makeup on but my hair simply must be done. So, when I heard that Dyson tools were now available at QT Hotels, I was immediately intrigued. As an avid fan of the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, I was excited to learn that I no longer had to compromise on clothing space in my luggage because one would be waiting for me when I got to my QT room. That is convenience you can’t really put a price on!

Personally, though, I had never had the chance to try the Dyson Corrale before. So, I loved that during my stay I could put it to the test and learn why the technology was so unique. This cordless straightener has flexing copper plates that shape to gather the hair to allow for greater control over the style and–get this–less heat damage. In turn, you end up with hair that is smooth, frizz-free and long-lasting (which is very important to me). I also love to do my loose beachy waves with my straightener so found the cordless design super easy to manoeuvre to achieve my desired look without the arm strain. 

My favourite part of the collaboration, though? The Dyson instructional videos that I could access to finesse my skills. Whether it was learning how to nail the at-home (or should I say, at-hotel) blow dry or the key to a super sleek straightened look, the videos were easy to follow and super informative. As they say, you learn something new everyday.

The QT x Dyson partnership is pretty dang dreamy. Taking luxury to new heights, I couldn’t fault it (or my perfectly styled ‘do).
