Whitney Peak Is The New Face Of CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle
You heard it here first!
There are few brands as iconic as CHANEL. Be it in the fashion, fragrance or beauty space, the French brand has been synonymous with luxury for over 100 years. And the lust-worthiness extends beyond the regular consumer. Known for discovering up-and-coming creative talent to represent the brand, CHANEL’s most recent ambassador is one to watch.
Introducing, as the face of the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, Whitney Peak.
A 20-year-old Canadian actor at the dawn of her career, Peak is best known for her lead role in the reboot of Gossip Girl and playing Becca in Anne Fletcher’s Hocus Pocus 2. Having maintained a relationship with CHANEL for quite some time (first as brand ambassador for the US market and then as the muse of the 22 Handbag campaign), her progression to the face of Coco Mademoiselle was a natural next step.
“I’ve gotten to build a relationship with Coco Mademoiselle that overlaps any experience I’ve ever had with a fragrance before,” Peak tells Gritty Pretty. “It’s not often that you get to learn how the perfume you wear is made. I wear it and I’m like, ‘Yes, this is me.’”
A true incarnation of the Coco Mademoiselle woman—someone who is unapologetic, joyous and confident in life—Peak loves the element of mystery that surrounds the scent. A philosophy she also carries into her everyday life.
“There’s a mystique to the fragrance,” she says. “It doesn’t paint too big or full a picture. It leaves room for the imagination for women to embody the fragrance in their own individuality and let their own personality shine through. There’s a beautiful duality to it.”
Peak’s alignment was also born out of her love of fragrance as an act of self-care. A moment in her day that is just for her to boost her confidence and make her feel complete before she tackles whatever is thrown at her. It’s a refreshing take on a term that usually implies stripping back a beauty routine, rather than adding to it.
“For me, self-care isn’t ‘I’m going to stay home and do a face mask and watch a movie.’ I do that anyway. Self-care to me is just doing whatever fuels me, whatever helps me put the best, truest version of myself out there. I put fragrance on as a form of self-care.”
A true representative of the temperament of a Coco Mademoiselle woman, Peak’s tenacity and determination to reach her goals is admired by a plethora of loyal fans. With an obvious appetite for success and opportunity, Peak’s ambassadorship is a true celebration of what it means to be a young woman in 2023.
