THE HOLIDAY FRAGRANCE YOU NEED TO ADD TO YOUR LUGGAGE

You might be a creature of habit, but holidays and vacations are a great time to switch up your fragrance.

Because my ideal holiday is chasing the sun and surf with my other half, smells that always remind me of blissful holidays include ocean mist, fresh figs and cut grass; night blooming jasmine, frangipani flower and Hawaiian Tropic sun lotion; jugs of Pimm’s, charred meat on a barbecue and now, Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort Collection Eau de Toilette.

It’s quite a skill to sum up an entire season (or at least a fantasy of one) in one bottle, but some perfumers such as Elie Saab’s Francis Kurkdjian manage exactly that.

“The fragrance is released in waves like a warm gentle breeze caressing the face of a woman who stands on the deck of her yacht wearing a stunning long dress in a shade of blue that is reminiscent of the sea,” says Kurkdjian. “It is a fleeting but intense moment filled with nothing but harmony.”

Juicy fig fruits burst open with orange blossom notes while jasmine and frangipani marry perfectly with amber and cedar, giving this turquoise glass fragrance the the irresistible scent of warm, sun-soaked skin being delicately cooled by the azure waters of Capri.

To me, this scent manages to encompass long, hot summers sipping on Limoncello into one spritz.

Spray it on, close your eyes and be transported. Oh, and add it to your luggage now.
