The marble reception desk should have been our first clue. This salon has an uber luxe, elegant attitude, and the interiors are meant to evoke the impression of being on a fashion set with strategic lighting, full-length mirrors, exposed concrete and a minimalist colour scheme, and they only stock top-tier brands including Oribe, Christophe Robin and, hello, Balmain. There’s even a specific area where the team like to shoot their clients post-styling session for Instagram (theirs and/or yours). We sat down at the bench, which runs down the centre of the salon, for a cut, colour and blowdry, which we can honestly say, is one of the best we’ve ever had.
