We’re loyal to our glam squad, so trying a new salon made us slightly nervous – but our apprehension was misplaced. Located inside the old Ponsonby fire station, the peach-pink walls are warm and vibrant, and the lights and flowers are gorgeous, but it’s the details that most impressed: each work station is sectioned off (so you can chat privately with your stylist or sit quietly, undisturbed) and equipped with customized artwork, books and magazines, a coat hook and a USB outlet to charge your phone and laptop. Our hair looked and felt incredible, thanks to the Kerastase product and our fantastic stylist, who snipped our strands and injected much-needed body into our lifeless hair, just like she promised. The cherry on top? The location also includes a nail bar. Clean and classic was our manicure request and, using Orly’s soak-off Builder in a Bottle to rehab our weak nails, they nailed it (pun absolutely intended). We especially loved the Japanese cuticle tidying technique, which left our tips looking like we’d never lifted a finger in our lives. The pedicure services are also particularly luxe and should you need a little nail art to spice up your nail beds, they’ve got you covered. Love that they also use Kester Black!
